RE: [A/S] Motorhomes Again

What's the expression about once the cows get out of barn, it's hard to get
them back in (or something like that !)? For what little my 2 cents is
worth, once "exceptions" start being made, others follow !! Solution seems
to simple to me -- restore a vintage/classic Airstream Motorhome or pressure
Thor to keep creating new 1's !

Anne

It seems like you hit the nail on the head Anne. I still can't figure out
what the pro moho peoples problem really is.

Airstream stopped making the Class A's around 05, so based on the potential
life span of good quality Airstream moho's, they should be able to last 30
years, providing they are cared for & upgraded on occasion. I have assorted
clients who have 30+ year old Airstream moho's & they are still going
strong. If the owners of the newest Airstream moho's actually believed in
the product & wanted to stay in the WBCCI until they are unable to travel
anymore, it's completely possible with the moho they own now. Let's be
realistic here, my guess is that most of these people are likely in their
late 50's or older, so if you add 25 years to this, they'll be somewhere in
their 80's by the time the moho is unserviceable. If they were really
diligent, the moho could last indefinitely.

I'm towing a 53 year old trailer with a 25 year old tow vehicle. The trailer
will easily last another 25 years & the tow vehicle, another 10 without too
much difficulty. So what is the real issue..........keeping up with the
Jones, or perhaps keeping ahead of the Jones? Perhaps they could do this by
restoring & re-restoring their moho's to a level better than whomever they
are trying to impress. As technology has advanced over the years we have
modified & upgraded our trailers to a much higher level than what is
available from Airstream today, so surely this could be done on moho's
during their lifetime as well.

Just my .02 cents worth

Colin
