The following article will teach a person how to quickly check the axle/axles out themselves.

Unfortunately, not too many dealers know how to check them out.

The rubber rods must be exercised to stay alive. If the trailer has been parked without moving, or on jacks, the rubber rods will fail.

That has aleady happened many times, even on some Airstreams just a very few years old.
