Yes.

Years ago we purchased custom-cut mattresses made from 4" high-density
polyurethane foam from a shop that sells nothing but foam, and installed
them over a plywood base. The shop also put dust covers over the foam.
Worked so well and were so comfortable that we later replaced all the
mattresses in the house with the same product. The mattresses have
given good service, and our entire family has been very well satisfied
across the board. Would do it again if we needed to replace any of the
current mattresses.
