I did not have to install any software for the MiFi I uninstalled Verizon Manager. As long as it is on youi are on line much easier to use.

Thanks Rob, will check into it. We have the 3g mifi...we should have
brought it with us on the trip. We have found 4 g to be sadly missing even
in large cities..Verizon had us download new software for the 4g..not sure
if the 3g mifi would work..and we need all the back up we can have...working
from the road can be challenging...paula

Sounds like you have it wired, but as a back up your husband might upgrade
to MiFi the monthly cost is the same, you have to buy a MiFi modem but you
can have up to 10 people use it if you need to. Plus the sign on is easier
then the air card.
