[A/S] Dead Ford Engine

Hello Hunter,

If you have a Ford dealer fix or replace your engine, the $14.000 you
mentioned is about right. But there are LOTS of other options that are
LOTS cheaper. I have rebuilt two Airstream motorhome Chevy 454 engines
and each of them was 'way less than half that. A replacement "crate"
engine would also have been about the same price, $4,000-$5,000. Shop
around. The dealer is about the most expensive place you can go to have
work done, inn my experience.
