But Dalhart is in the Texas panhandle....

The upper left corner of Texas for those who are geographically
challenged :D

It's near the Oklahoma border and the New Mexico border....

It's 4 sq miles and has a population of around 7,000 people...

It has many many thousands of cows in a feedlot....and each cow has
hundreds of flies.

When the wind is right the feedlots seems to be here in the campground.

Trains go by constantly.....

It doesn't have a Walmart. It used be be a part of a 300,000,000 acre
cattle ranch... the Xit Ranch.

Many businesses are names after the Xit... including the Ford dealer......
