re: 2004 28' Airstream... I'm mystified as to the purpose of these two
valves... about 4" apart on the bottom streetside of the water tank.
Because, just forward of these mysterious valves, there's a 1/4" plastic
ballcock, horizontally mounted on the side of the tank, which drains the
water tank.
The zinc plated handles have rusted off both of them... able to open and
close 'em with channelocks.
Altho there's a fine flow of water draining from the ballcock....
Nothing runs from the draincock valves. Other years I have seen water
run out when I opened 'em....
There's no mention of these two valves in the owner's manual.... The
plastic ballcock is mentioned as the water tank drain valve.

(aside to Hunter).... Bummer with your new truck. I've never heard of
one of those diesels just blowing..... Turbo problems: yea.... but no
other serious stuff..
