Hi All,
You might look at the Winnebago Rialta...There are Rialta Yahoo groups ..."Rialtatech" will provide more information that you will ever need..but if you break down in the middle of nowhere (but have internet connection) you will receive a flurry of responses to your call for help...even one fellow who will come to you as a favor!!! And "Rialta" is more of a social group. BOTH are VERY FRIENDLY! The Tech site has a huge number of files relative to repairs and upgrades folks have made. Also you might ask about Baldy's cd..actuallly there is a web site
http://www.rialtainfo.com/TheBaldy/index.htm
I have one of these sweet rigs and plan to park it in Alaska when I buy my Airstream and spend the summers north and the winters in the Airstream in the lower 48...will be a full time rv'er volunteer!!
10 days til lift off!!

I have been beating my brain for a while now. 21 to 25 sounds like a great
size for one person, or a friendly couple. But one of the issue that comes
up, when I look at something, I might afford, is they are no tough shape,
and I am getting too old to work on them... I can't afford to break down
1000 miles from home base...the trailer, you just buy another TV...I have
never towed a nything bigger than a car of van, I can't imagine it would be
to much trouble, ( backing up has me thinking) decisions, decisions....I
really like the idea, of being self contained, and a 22 footer, is easy
enough to park or run to the store with......it is only a little longer than
my ol extended van...

I have been looking at used MH 21 to 25 ft, best prices are from the rental
places, they swap
out every 3-5 years or 75000 miles, good ones about $22000. You know, these
rental
places must keep these units in halfway decent shape, very expensive if they
fail on the road..
I have seen private party ones with no maintenance but much lower mileage,
DECISIONS
My problem is my wife does not want to tow the Airstream and my eye sight
isnot what is used to be
she would drive a small motor home however.
Comments??
