Thanks, Tony! I do have a drill but no rivet gun. The wood screw fix might just do it until I can find a latch and/or remove it completely.
The storage boot latch bar is the issue. I did a temp fix with a bolt and washer/nut but it doesn't work well--hard to secure the door even though the latch is in place--might be too bulky or long, but something isn't right. The hole may also be stripped out, as I tried the screw that came out of it and it would not hold. Gorilla tape is helping for now, but not for long...
Does anyone have a recommendation for a source of screen door latches near Lander, WY? I may be headed to Cody tomorrow if I can get reasonably well packed. Dreary, rainy, cold day and the dogs are used to the freedom of boondocking in the desert, and are about to drive me nuts.
