I have a 1999 chevy Express Van 150 with the 5.7 motor and will take it over a pickup any time.A 250 would have been better But I added air shocks for a little extra lift. Tow a 18 ft.caravel and a 25ft Safari. Looking at a trans. up-grade from "Gear Vender" which will help with tork & fuel mileage.{haven't had any problems with it as is}Two trans. coolers keeps the trans. happy.
