I going to second Charlie on the safety issue. I am a devoted keeper of
old appliances, '73 fridge and AC still going strong. I had to replace
my furnace because it was a Park model that ran only on 110.
As Charlie said, the consequences of restoring something with a
combustion chamber that is 39 years old are deadly. I don't see any
advantage in taking the chance, since this furnace is not particularly a
treasure for being that old. You can't see it, a new one will work no
better or worse.
