Re: [A/S] Re: gas water heater help

Robert - I'm sure fer sure, but doesn't that statement say something about God protecting fools and Englishmen?

Just one of favorites to pull on my English friends,

Thanks to all with your links and suggestions. I took the tube back out and
it was still clean. I also took the small orifice off and it was open and
clean. I put everything back together and it still sputtered. I suspected
a bad regulator but decided to play with the air adjustment tube first. A
move of about 1/16th of an inch fixed the problem. Amazing how such a
little adjustment made the difference. As usual it was best to check the
simple stuff first.

Let it air out before you light it. I made the mistake of cleaning a pilot
light and then went to light it. (this was a home hot water heater) And
poof, I was breathing in flames. The old say is God looks after drunks and
idiots.
