I agree at 10,000 lbs you need at least a 3/4 ton but my '89 Excella 29
is 5400lbs dry and the Nissan Titan is tow rated for 9400lbs giving me
a substantial margin. I do travel the mountain west and have found nothing
the very willing double overhead cam high revving Nissan V-8 can't handle.
Find the gear that lets you peg to 3800rpm (torque peak) and it climbs
anything without looking back. It is definately thirstier rhan my Dodge
diesel was but again cost half as much, thats a lot of fuel!
