Unfortunately GM no longer offers the 8.1L gas in their light duty
trucks. A mistake in my opinion.
The spec's on their latest gas engine a 6.0 L with 360HP/380lbft is in
the same neighborhood as my 2002 8.1L at 300HP/360lbft but it does not
include the Allison. You have to buy their diesel to get the Allison
transmission.
