Hi Gang,
I can attest to Rick's bucket traps. They work like a charm - every
single time - every single mouse.
This Winter we decided to remain accessible to grandchildren here in
the States instead of spending Christmas in Guadalajara or on the
beach at Bahia Concepcion Baja California Mexico.
This afternoon, we're in Upstate New York (20 degrees) and have four
of Rick's bucket traps set out (one in each Airstream, one in our Van
and one in our garage).
Yesterday, I checked them, scooped out 12 mice (with slotted spoon -
3 mice in each bucket) and gave all 12 an "honorable" burial (in our
fireplace insert).
As Rick so aptly pointed out, there's no chance of the mice dying in
the Airstream's walls and stinking us out in the Spring. Likewise,
they never dine on our vehicle's ignition system wires.
Let's see --- according to Hunter's experience -- that's $4,000
multiplied by 12 = $48,000 or thereabouts -- give or take a few
thousand. Oooops - silly season has begun - time to sign off.
