Reminds me of camping one night on the way back to Ontario. I believe it was
someplace in Kentucky. It was cold. The front vent had just blown back and
had to be screwed down to be secured.
We plugged in and had the electric heater working but it wasn't making much
progress. We finally went to bed and shut the heater off, warm under our
double layer of sleeping bags. Logan our Golden Retriever was in his usual
place on the floor on a dog bed. He wouldn't settle down and kept getting up
and wandering around. Finally I gave in and said "OK buddy, up on the bed"
He was warm enough, we were warmed up by the "dog on the bed" and everyone
had a good night's rest.

I have wood walls, but in that kind of weather I simply throw another
dog on the bed <g>
