Also very true. We have all our service done at Jackson Center, and a
few years ago when we asked them to install one on our coach, they
demurred, said the door frame was too thin and would be weakened too
much. However, another listee showed me how to grind down the deadbolt
to about half thickness. I took this information back to Jackson Center
and they installed the deadbolt. This technique worked perfectly and we
could not have been happier with our subsequent experience. Point of
fact, now the only time we ever use the lock in the door is when we are
towing. Very convenient, super-solid.
