The best thing I found and was told. When I close up my camp for winter . Is Downy fabric softener drier sheets. I put them all in every drawers and then scatter what is left over through out the trailer. Not only do they have a pleasant clean smell But for some reason the rodents don't seem to care for them.. I've also learn that it has to be the downy sheets only that works the best. All other brands seems to be iffy.. Hope that helps... cheers  Dominick

Mothballs will keep them out, but everything will smell like them. And, you have to keep using the mothballs.

Used them in our AS in KY & when came home to LA did not realize everything smelled including purse & money. Went to eat lunch & when I paid, the girl said your money smells like mothballs!

Please repost the bucket method, thanks.
