I put in an Intellipower 4045, as recommended by Randy at best converter,
into my '62 GT. He was very helpful on the phone. But, the installation
manual the converter comes with is not designed for the typical DIYer. Not
at all user friendly. Well, at least not to a 12v neophyte, like myself.
But, after several phone calls to Randy, I finally figured it out. It is
extremely quiet, lightweight and perfect. Don't bother calling Intellipower
tech support as they/he treats you as if... "well hey, it is designed for
professionals to install, you know!" On the other hand, it's not the first
time I have asked a male "professional" a technical question and was treated
like "aww sucks, little lady, isn't there a guy around you can ask for
help." Before I get a bunch of e-mails from you terrific guys out there I
KNOW not all of you are like that! Thanks.
