Not sure what poison you used (warfarin?) but secondary poisoning of wildlife or domestic pets that consume poisoned rodents is a big thing with me, so if at all possible, if you CAN retrieve the deceased villain, make sure it's disposed of securely and not just tossed outside. I had an owl die in my arms in a vet's office as we were trying to save him and it was right after the homeowner had left Decon all over the place, inside and out. Lab results/necropsy confirmed the suspicion. Terrible way to die, or watch something die, unless it was your intention:-)
My Airstream is parked at the bottom of the hill backed into the woods so I can keep the drive open for the PODS truck, etc. Now I'm having that creepy feeling....
Too bad there can't be something slathered on the plumbing to make even a hungry rodent disinterested. I had to replace all the wiring to an engine in a Jeep once because the squirrels decided it made perfect nesting material. Cost half as much as the old Jeep was worth....
