I'm almost certain it has some polymer in it to make it stick and not
crack. The weight issue is worth looking at, a coat of paint would have
been a better idea. They probably got it free for talking it up.

I wish we could hear what these gussied up trailers were like to be in
and repair after a couple of years on the road.
