RE: [A/S] rain on my Airstream

Airstream uses a baked on white paint on top of .032 aluminum sheet; it is
applied at Alcoa finisher before we receive . The finish is used because it
does not chalk when exposed to sun/UV rays. The streaks that we see running
down from the roof are commonly caused by dirt, dust and other pollutants
that build up on the roof. My two cents based on what we see on units
coming in for service.

Thanks

Does anyone know exactly what the white coating Airstream is using on the
roof of the new ones is

Steve

As far as I can tell, it's just white paint. It chalks up in the sun & runs
down the side when it rains.
