As Daisy mentioned the current white coating Airstream uses is intended
to reduce solar loading. You can see the same approach on earlier 60's
coaches pre-airconditioning. Helped keep them cooler inside.
The coating is a "pre baked enamel paint" as described on their plant

When Airstream started building the wide body they had the metal
precoated with either clearcote or paint before it came to Jackson
Center. Once there they cut and form it as needed for final assembly.
