Hey, I entirely agree that this whole soy etc exchange is way off-topic;
said so in my first response. However, I do feel obligated to respond
to medical misinformation.
So here goes again: Yes, arsenic in sufficient doses certainly is
carcinogenic; unfortunately, low concentrations of arsenic always have
been ubiquitous. And due to world-wide industrial activity during the
past 2 centuries, the concentrations have been increasing markedly.
While we do not know the minimum dose for this effect, it only makes
sense to avoid the stuff wherever possible. Not being a lion or tiger,
I don't eat cow - no problem. And since arsenic is not a nutritional
supplement, now I have a reason to avoid chicken.
But even a total vegetarian cannot avoid arsenic.
