I forgot, I glued a stip of velcro on the front bottom of the hasp (on
front of door, and the front lower hasp mount so the wind could not blow
the
hasp over. at night.when it was open.

A while back someone tried to break into my 1979 Argosy 7.3 Minuet with
a screwdriver and tire tool so they sprung the door and damaged the
latch. They didn't manage to get in, but they damaged the latch to the
point where I couldn't get in either from the outside. Oddly enough, I
just popped out the emergency hatch (bathroom window) and climbed in and
opened it from the inside. I guess it's a good thing the thieves didn't
know anything about old Airstream campers and didn't want in bad enough
to just break a window. ;)
I had managed to futz with it enough I got it working for a while but
now it doesn't lock right and hangs a lot so I'm in the market for a new
one (new to me. I'd buy a used in working condition unit) or a place I
can send mine to be rebuilt.
Suggestions?
Jim
