Hello Jim,

In my area here in Del. there is someone that has a yard full of airstreams & argosy travel trailers, i have got hard to find parts from him. Long story short he just may have the parts (used) you need. If you e-mail me @ wiertransport@yahoo.com i will give you his phone # and you can take it from there.

A while back someone tried to break into my 1979 Argosy 7.3 Minuet with

a screwdriver and tire tool so they sprung the door and damaged the

latch. They didn't manage to get in, but they damaged the latch to the

point where I couldn't get in either from the outside. Oddly enough, I

just popped out the emergency hatch (bathroom window) and climbed in and

opened it from the inside. I guess it's a good thing the thieves didn't

know anything about old Airstream campers and didn't want in bad enough

to just break a window. ;)

I had managed to futz with it enough I got it working for a while but

now it doesn't lock right and hangs a lot so I'm in the market for a new

one (new to me. I'd buy a used in working condition unit) or a place I

can send mine to be rebuilt.

Suggestions?

Jim
