[A/S] Selling My Silver Bullet - 78 Argosy 28" MH

I know occasionally hyperlinks are put up of Airstream and Argosy trailer and MH being sold, and I thought I'd give this user group first crack at mine which I've posted in the Airstream Forum, Fred's, and Craigslist today. Here are two of the links and the description of what I have. I've got more photos and the fix it list for anyone who's interested. I'm sorry to have to sell her, but times are marching forward.

The Ad:

There are only a few unpainted Arguosy Motorhomes in the country, and this is one of them. It is also the last year Arguosy Motorhomes were made before production switched over to the Airstream banner. Bought it to gut and rebuild to take my boys around the country. But they are growing up too fast and I don't have enough time to finish this beautiful beast.

It is a 1978 Argosy 28 foot Motorhome - unpainted. I began gutting the interior, have pictures to document each interior piece removal, and have all the original pieces stored in the back. Had plans to put double bunk beds in the back, and scored a swivel bench dinette bed found in the 24s" to install in the front. The interior appliances were too old and I intended on replacing them. Already discarded the fridge - but I can retrieve it if you want. No leaks except the front window, which needs it seal to be eventually replaced.

I have had the Argosy extensively inspected and have a comprehensive list of what needs to be repaired and what has been repaired. I will supply upon request. I've completely redone the brkaes, transmission, and auto electrical issues at great expense. The engine cranks over and the vehicle is drivable. It's a 454 gas , runs strong, and has been driven only 44016 miles. But additional repairs are necessary for the engine, exhaust, and suspension. The tires will need replacing as well. Also, the Onan generator still works, but needs to be serviced. Finally, I cried when I put the dent in the right rear quarter panel - it is what it is, and can be repaired with a patch aluminum piece.

I have all the original owner's manuals, service manuals, and appliance manuals. I also have all ownership paperwork and all the repair receipts from the previous owner and me. Pains me to let this truly one of a kind Motorhome go. But its a great project for someone who wants to bring their own vision to the Airstream namesake.
