You might want to consider an Airstream motorhome that looks like an Airstream….we just purchased an 82 24' Airstream motorhome in October and at the time I was looking at Argosy motorhomes as well…..some of the longer ones are more plentiful and yes, ours has a Chevy 454 4.7 liter gas engine and it has plenty of power…..I drove a bigger one with an Izusu diesel that was pretty sluggish…..but you don't want to drive too fast while you wife is sleeping anyway…..I think that AS made those until 1992…..they sure are nice looking. I found the B vans to be pretty small and without a screen door……but then there are advantages and disadvantages to all RVS…..good luck with your search.

Trailer is out. Wife is an RN who works at wellness clinics at various locations. She needs to be able to sleep while I drive. Camper or motorhome is the only legal/safe way. Roger

Don't want a cheaply built one and don't want to drive something that costs more than my house. Sooooo a used one is in order for us. A diesel is almost a must. I have 2 Mercedes Diesels and an Ford F250 Diesel. What chassis are Airstream motorhomes built on. Say from late eighties to early 2000's. I assume there is no wood in the framing. Any particle board on the interior? What is the floor made of? Do Airstreams have any recurring problems I should be aware of? Thanks so much. Roger

Roger,
Since you have a pickup have you considered an Airstream trailer?
I started with a motorhome and hated it....... now I fulltime in a
trailer and love it......
I can give you all the pros and cons if you are interested and your mind
isn't set on a MH.
