I feel the same way. I have been running Carlisle USA bias on my Scotty for over 5 years. They show no wear and I hadn't had any problems. I had Trail Master's on my 66 Caravel. They wore out in 2 years. Last year I replaced them with Carlisle. One thing I store my Scotty in my garage and my AS in my hanger. I think this help also.

Subject: [A/S] Carlisle tires
Hi all,
Just a comment, I had Carlisle bias ply tires on my '70 27 ft Overlander for 5 years,(Iknow, I know, I violated the 4 year rule) and after probably 20 k miles, showed very little wear, NO sidewall checking, never had a blowout. I would recommend them, especially for older trailers where tire width is an issue.
