I'm still at Big Bend NP volunteering in the Visitor Center at Rio
Grande Village. Usually people just stay 3 months, I wanted 6, and it
's starting to get hot hot hot, so If I want to go play in the desert, I
have to get up early. I still love it here, though, it is an amazing
place. Just when I think I know it, it changes again. In spite of no
rain for a year and a half, the spring flowers are trying really hard,
blue bonnets and ocotillo and great big fat yucca blossoms that look
like they would drip if you wrang them out.

I'll be leaving May 1, they close the VC because it's too hot for anyone
but lizards, and heading to the mountains of AZ. I'll be rehabbing
cabins for the Forest Service there, at 7,000 feet. so it will be nice
and cool!
