A good tow vehicle needs more than just an engine capable of pulling......

The thing about half ton trucks is they don't have all the extra beef or
3/4 and 1 ton trucks.

Beefed up frame, brakes, transmission etc.....

I could be mistaken, but I don't think I'd feel comfortable pulling my
trailer with a half ton anywhere other than flat land....

Maybe its psychological but I like the extra margin of safety I feel my
big boy truck provides.
