Re: [A/S] Misc. pre-flight checklist…less expensive solution found

Hey David, and everyone,

Thanks again for continuing the stream of great info! In addition to all the house sale drama, my computer hard drive has decided to go south. I"m trying to transfer files to Dropbox and my backup old laptop, but it will fail (big old Mac Pro) right in the middle of things and I have to start over. Very time consuming and frustrating.

I'm going to try to get some ordering done on Amazon today while I still have an address to ship to. I'm having trouble finding that cam lock--the one with the "bent" steel plate. It looks like a dogleg.

Now I"m back to the water heater issue as after draining everything and putting in fresh water, it won't stay on. I have tried to bleed the air out of the lines but so far nothing has worked.

Then the rains started....good for pollen, not so much for working outside.

I'll check out the cradlepoint. Thanks again, David!

Anne

It is about the half the price at $80. It maintains all the features (WiFi as WAN, 12VDC powered, WPA2/AES encryption, WiFI b/g/n, port forwarding, main and separate guest networks, etc) that I mentioned for the CBR400. The main differences are some features in the CBR400 that are aimed at corporate users and enterprise applications and are really overkill for what we need to accomplish. They are slotting the CTR35 specifically as a travel wireless router.
