Re: [A/S] Trailer Shopping Advice Please

The Suburban is a 1500 a half ton with the 5.7L TBI 8. Supposedly it
is rated for 6600Lbs towing. I definitely want to stay well below that.
The AS trailers I am looking at are in the 43-4500 Lb range, roughly
2/3 of rated capacity. I don't plan to do a lot of towing, once I have settled
on a 'home'. My primary concern is maintaining the ability to get out of
the path of a hurricane, on short notice. Otherwise maybe moving 50Mi
to a campground on a different lake, would likely be about it.

If I do any exploring, it would likely be done with my 350Lb pop up
trailer. I think it would actually fit in the back of the Suburban, if I put
the back seat down.

Remember they do weigh a bunch extra...... is your Suburban a half ton
or 3/4 ton?

What engine?
