I went back to the web supplier for various water pumps that David mentioned, and the Aquajet RV series says it takes 10amps. Not sure if that is only on startup or throughout the cycle.
I will start paying attention to current draws as I'm looking. I haven't compared any yet so I don't quite know the acceptable range.
