While at our "Going South" rally, someone asked why we didn't use our 12 volt lights & Ronnie told them because we don't have a 12 volt battery. Tramper is a '62 Globetrotter & except for the overhead, all our light fixtures have a 12 volt side & a 110 volt side -- we use the 110 which gets its juice from the campground 30 amp plug in. This guy said that we should be able to run our 12 volt lights off the car battery while the car is plugged into the camper. After we hooked up to go home, we tried the 12 volt lights after but nothing happened. Are we missing something ? This would be a GREAT option to have & if it can be done, HOW !!!
