In a word - Walmart. They sell soft foam topping material in 2", 3", and 4" and they sell mattress toppers made of memory foam that are already prepped and covered. They come in sizes twin, double, queen and king and are about 2" thick. If the soft foam is what you need, and as you mentioned, this is an interim camper, the foam is inexpensive. If you want a more permanent solution, then the memory foam, although more expensive, is much more desireable. It can turn a block of concrete into a reasonably comfortable bed. It comes packaged all folded and rolled up, in a plastic bucket type drum. One must open it, spread it out, and allow it to return to normal.
