Re: [A/S] Tinhut for sale

Sarge, I sold my 1978 on Kijiji, in March, without much problem. I advertised it and over a two week period, I got over 5,000 hits with 23 calls, four of which showed real interest. I wanted $6,000 for it, so I asked for $7500. I got my $6000. There is quite a lot of interest here in Ontario for Airstreams, and I would be surprised if you did not get even more response than I did, as I live in North Bay. The person who bought mine lives by Cornwall, so travelled a ways to get it.

Ray, I do not know how difficult the US Customs would be, but Cdn Customs were not a problem at all when I imported my 1978. The free trade agreement provides for this age of trailer at zero duty charge. I had to pay the taxes on the converted purchase price. My suggestion is - if you pull the trigger, study up on the internet and have all your ducks in a row, as the customs people do not like extra work. If you have all of the tedious stuff done, it would go like silk.
