[A/S] cheap door lock.

The black plastic lip thing that goes on the door and hooks under the
latch to keep it open broke.

So I went on line and found one, and got some LED's too, and then I
decided to treat myself to a new door latch. The old one still works,
but the chrome is peeling off the metal and it's all pitted and nasty.

So for $470 a got one, this from Out of Doors Mart.

The key won't lock or unlock it, sloppy machine work, and I'm probably
going to have to send it back.

Does anyone make a new lock for a '73? that works?

Should I take mine apart and see if I can just substitute the old
locking mechanism for the new one and still get a nice look on the outside?

Very annoying.

Advice please!
