My problems were due to a greenish crud growing in the line - that
drain line tends to STAY wet here in the south in the summertime
and crud can grow there. No insects/trash/whatever in mine. I used a
garden hose one time when I didn't have compressed air. It worked,
but I was careful to not use too much and add to the wet carpet inside.
Besides, blowing back from the outside is much easier than
disassembling the covers, filters, etc from inside. I remember
getting to the drain pan from the inside one time before I discovered
the blowback method and it was _not_ easy.
