Ann, I would suggest taking one of the screws out and take it to Ace
Hardware and they will fix you up with a slightly larger screw. Could do same
at Lowes, Home Depot or Manards, if you could find someone to assist you.
I would suggest not going longer, just a little larger in diameter.
Suggest you coat the screw with caulk before replacing it.

Thank you, Tony! Do you have an idea of what size screws or rivets?

Sent from my iPad which has an erratic spellcheck, so bear with me.

find a portable aluminum welder (with the welder to operate it) or can any
welder fix it? I am not sure if the bracket has tone replaced or is just
bent.

The awning brackets are screwed or maybe riveted to the trailer usually at a
rib. Try to tighten the screws and if they are stripped go to the next
larger size (stainless steel) screw. Then seal around the brackets with a
little urethane caulking. The aluminum skin is too thin and a weld would
almost surely cause cracking.
