Hi everyone,
Two years ago, we broke the axle on the rough road to Lac Opataca in
northern Quebec. It was welded and got us home,
and then we replaced it with a new axle. Trouble is, they put in a 0 degree
axle, and when it "settled", the tires are now rubbing against
the wheel wells, and already ruined one tire.
Does anyone know what degree axle is best for a 1965 Caravel? We have tried
to check the archives of the old VAL list
with limited success. I cannot find a searchable archive for this list; am I
missing it? Any help will be greatly appreciated; we have a
trip planned soon.

Hi Sue,
The original down angle on your axle was 22 ½ degrees & yes, I can supply
you with a new axle that fits correctly. I have all of the specs.
Thanks,
Colin
