Excellent question.... I think its getting tired. After the Hott Rod
has been plugged in for many hours, the breaker throws itself.....
The Hott Rod was new in January, replacing the one that had been in
there for 12 years.....
The breaker doesn't throw when the Hott Rod isn't plugged in.....
So, the thinking is a 16 year old breaker is wearing out...
