Do you notice the lights dimming (significantly) as you turn more and more of them on? It really sounds like the voltage to the radio is failing as you turn on lights, but if the lights are not dimming, then it has to be a connection issue to the radio itself. It would be informative to have a digital voltmeter across the power wires to the radio with it turned on vs off and as your turn on the incandescent lights in your rig. I take it that this volume issue happens whether you are on shore power or battery.

BTW, the radio powers the speakers, so the problem is with the radio not the speakers.
