Today's adventure <g>

This was one of those days.... I left the campground in
Kaycee, Montana at 9:30am and just got to the campground in
Hardin at 3:30.... 6 hours to go 160 miles.

Why? I pulled off the Garryowen exit and noticed the truck
fuel gauge was low... not on empty yet, but the read out
said I only had 35 miles left.....

So I turned to the right, toward the Conoco station I could
see at the exit.... on theway to the station the truck lost
all power... I had deja vu all over again. I quickly turned
the key off and coasted into the service station/museum
parking lot.

The place didn't have diesel...... uh oh... I was dead in
the water.

I grabbed my phone to make a call just as the phone went
dead.... battery.

I walked into the shop, and the owner was there. Chris. He
was so nice. He sent one of his museum interns down I-90
with a 5 gallon can and got me 5 gallons of diesel.....
which he poured in the truck and it was happy again.

I made a generous contribution to the museum, and gave Chris
a tour of my Airstream that was blocking much of his
business. He's selling the business and wants to get an
Airstream and full time, so we had lots to talk about.

I was headed to the campground at that exit but decided to
go to the next exit to fill the truck up, then I was going
to come back. The big service station at the next exit had
plastic bags on all the fuel pumps, diesel and gas..... so I
continued on 12 miles to Hardin where I finally filled up.

It seemed stupid to back track so I'm here at the KOA...
35.00 for a water and electric site. )c:

<sigh>

Hunter <- blaming it on Friday the 13th
