Hunter, your rig (1996) did not come with the old Univolt system. It came with a Magnetek converter, which is the same one that Airstream still installed until very recently on all models. They now use a newer model from Magnetek. The old Univolt system had many problems as they aged and they caused a lot of issues with electronic components.

What are the symptoms on your radio, buzzing sounds? It could likely be a bad ballast in one of your fluorescent ceiling lights. I seriously doubt that your inverter is at fault. Does the symptom happen when you are on batteries?
