Hunter,

I am way late to this thread, but I have to register my same
frustration. We both have the same AS and my thermostat went out last
summer. The cost of new thermostat and the "conversion Kit" was to the
point of better to replace with new AC unit.

Yeah, for a fortune which really aggravates me. Dometic aggravates me,
they change the dimensions of their fridges often.... so if you need a
new one it won't fit in the cabinetry.

Then there's the thermostat situation. My 16 year old a/c is still
running, but I can't buy the wall thermostat it uses, if I need a new
one.
