Hi Polly,
I have been rescued by folks at rallies any number of times, and
educated too! I heartily recommend vintage flavored rallies to all ages
of Airstream owners. Besides the technical assistance, these rallies
are a great party with great people!
I'm wondering if the Univolt does better when people actually use their
trailers in boon docking situations. That kind of deep discharge is
what the Univolt was designed for, rather than the constant topping up
that those of us who go from hook up to hook up use. The big
disadvantage is that the batteries need to have their water level
checked more often.
Still, your experience aside, upgrading the Univolt and checking the
connections in that area is a good idea.
