[A/S] Awning tear

Hi folks,

The edge of my awning on my '99 27' Safari has ripped right where the seam joins it to the metal segmented section that attaches to the roof. About a foot has ripped apart. Is this repairable or am I looking at a new awning? I tried tape but it didn't hold (might have not used the right tape).
