Out in the "dispersed camping" places nobody will care if I run them all the time, but in National Forest or BLM campgrounds they are a real issue when surrounded by tent campers. Running generators a lot also requires you bring along explosive gasoline containers that need frequent filling. Of course, you could say that about my propane tanks. Geez, just reading this paragraph makes me shaky.

After the truck fiasco made me broke, I got the idea to get a generator
to run the stuff in the trailer..... then I could go from Walmart to
Walmart and not pay campground fees.

Then, figuring the cost of gas and the price of the generator and how
often it would need to be filled, I realize that with my Passport
America, and Coast to Coast membership... it was cheaper to pay for
campgrounds.

Granted, solar is free... but the initial cost makes it prohibitive for
me and it won't run the things that I need to keep me happy..... like
the TV and satellite and my a/c.

Good luck in your quest... I can't imagine trying to do what you are
doing.... if I were you I'd set up somewhere, and get electric run to
the trailer......
