What usually happens is the wind catches the door as someone is opening it and bangs it against the side of the trailer. If this happens very hard or several times it tends to straiten out the curve of the door. So the block of wood and pushing on the top and or bottom is the correct proceeder to restore the door to its correct shape. I have adjusted several this way. Also you should always gently push the door shut, never slamming it as eventually the lock will fail and this is especially true on the older, say 70s and 80s trailers.
